J.L. “Lynn” Singleton, President and CEO of Professional Facilities Management, Inc. (PFM), has been honored with The Broadway League’s Distinguished Lifetime Service Award. The award was presented at the Broadway League Awards Ceremony on May 20 in New York City, recognizing Singleton’s extensive contributions to the touring Broadway industry. Singleton previously received the Samuel J. L’Hommedieu Award in 2004.

Singleton led the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) as President and CEO from 1983 until January 1, 2026, transforming it from near-bankruptcy into a premier not-for-profit theatre. Under his leadership, PPAC tripled its annual events and grew attendance to over 350,000. He oversaw a major stagehouse expansion to accommodate large-scale Broadway shows like THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, enabling the theatre to host blockbuster musicals such as THE LION KING and WICKED. Singleton also successfully advocated for Rhode Island’s expansion of film tax credits to support pre- and post-Broadway tours, helping launch 27 national tours since 2008.

Since 2026, Singleton has focused on leading PFM, which manages nine venues nationwide, including PPAC, The VETS in Providence, and the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC). His vision and fundraising efforts have resulted in over $50 million invested in PPAC’s restoration and expansion, earning the venue national recognition.
