Ronald F. Lewis, aged 85, passed away on September 13, 2026. A Providence native and son of Frank and Helen Lewis, Ron proudly served in the United States Air Force before dedicating over 20 years to the Providence Police Department, where he rose to the rank of Detective Sergeant. After retiring, he founded R.F. Lewis Private Investigation, continuing his commitment to law enforcement. Ron was a devoted family man, deeply proud of his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed spending 30 years at his waterfront home in Jamestown, where he loved boating, fishing, and supporting the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He is survived by his daughters Marcia Leonardo, Cynthia Rozzo, Theresa Wrage, and the late Deborah DiNitto, along with nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind siblings Kathleen Caron and Gary Lewis. Donations in his memory can be made to Tunnels to Tower at www.t2t.org.

Nacido en Providence, fue hijo de Frank y Helen Lewis y esposo de la fallecida Lorraine Ledoux Lewis. Lewis sirvió orgullosamente en la Fuerza Aérea de Estados Unidos antes de iniciar una destacada carrera policial que duró más de 20 años. Tras su retiro, fundó su propia agencia de investigaciones privadas, R.F. Lewis Private Investigation.
Lewis valoraba profundamente a su familia, siendo un padre presente y orgulloso de sus cuatro hijas, nueve nietos y seis bisnietos. Residió durante 30 años en Jamestown, donde disfrutaba de la vida junto al agua, la pesca y su afición por los deportes, especialmente apoyando a los Boston Red Sox y New England Patriots. Además de sus hijas, le sobreviven sus hermanos Kathleen Caron y Gary Lewis.
