PPAC Unveils The 2026/2027 Broadway Season

The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) revealed its 2026/2027 Broadway Season, highlighted by the national tour launch of “OPERATION MINCEMEAT: A NEW MUSICAL,” marking the 25th national tour to debut at the theatre. The season begins in September 2026 and includes six major Broadway productions in the Taco and The White Family Foundation Broadway Series, such as “THE GREAT GATSBY,” Alicia Keys’ “HELL’S KITCHEN,” “DEATH BECOMES HER,” “THE NOTEBOOK,” and “MAYBE HAPPY ENDING.” The Encore Series, starting in October 2026, features returning favorites like “THE BODYGUARD,” a holiday engagement by Cirque du Soleil titled “’TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE…,” “A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL,” and “JERSEY BOYS.” The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra will also perform a holiday concert in December 2026. PPAC emphasizes community engagement through its Outreach and Engagement Initiative, investing one million dollars annually to connect over 40,000 people with live performances and support arts education programs. The season’s media sponsors are WPRI 12 for the Broadway Series and Cox Media for the Encore Series.
El Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) anunció su temporada de Broadway 2026/2027, que comenzará en septiembre de 2026 con el estreno nacional de la gira de OPERATION MINCEMEAT: A NEW MUSICAL, marcando la 25ª gira nacional que se inaugura en este teatro. Alan J. Chille, nuevo presidente y CEO de PPAC, presentó un calendario que incluye seis producciones destacadas en la serie Broadway patrocinada por Taco y The White Family Foundation, entre ellas THE GREAT GATSBY, Alicia Keys’ HELL’S KITCHEN y MAYBE HAPPY ENDING. Además, la serie Encore, que inicia en octubre de 2026, contará con el regreso del thriller romántico THE BODYGUARD y la primera presentación en PPAC de Cirque du Soleil con ’TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE…, un espectáculo navideño para todas las edades.
El Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, dirigido por Keith Lockhart, también regresará para un concierto navideño en diciembre. PPAC continúa su compromiso con la comunidad mediante iniciativas de alcance que benefician a más de 40,000 personas, incluyendo programas educativos y de apoyo a militares.
