The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) has teamed up with WPRI CBS 12 and Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses to support the Toys for Tots holiday toy drive in Rhode Island. Beginning November 29, PPAC will serve as a collection site, with a donation box located in the Theatre’s Arcade near the Box Office. Patrons can bring new, unwrapped toys during several upcoming performances, including The Music of Pink Floyd with the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, Water for Elephants, Earth, Wind & Fire, and the Boston Pops Holiday Concerts, among others. The drive runs through mid-December, concluding with Cirque Dreams Holidaze from December 19 to 21. In 2024, the Rhode Island Toys for Tots chapter distributed over 195,000 toys to more than 29,000 children. Donations of any new, unwrapped toys such as board games, stuffed animals, craft kits, or books will help brighten the holidays for children up to 18 years old in need. PPAC expressed gratitude to patrons for their generosity in supporting this charitable effort.
