Edith M. Church, aged 99, of Providence, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026. She was the wife of the late George B. Church Jr. and was born in Pawtucket to Malcolm and Edith Brown. Edith worked for many years in data entry at Colibri Lighters before retiring and was an active member of the American Legion. She is survived by her three children—George B. Church III, Martha J. Church, and Margaret Crowley—and their families, including five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Edith was also remembered fondly by her seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings. The family expressed deep gratitude to the staff at Morgan Health Center and Harmony Hospice for their compassionate care during her final days. Memorial contributions in her honor can be made to the Artists’ Exchange in Cranston, Rhode Island.
