App support
Events in Providence brings events, news, and yard sales from Providence and nearby communities to your iPhone or iPad. The app is free, and you can browse and save listings without creating an account.

For technical help, a correction to your personal information, or a privacy question, use the support form on this page. Include “Events in Providence” and explain what you need. For a technical issue, include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, and the app version shown in Settings. Do not send passwords or another person’s private information.
Event dates and details
Listings come from the website and their original publishers. When a time, address, or other detail is missing, the app leaves that field blank. Check the source link to confirm details before attending.
To report an incorrect date, translation, location, or listing, open its details in the app and choose “Report an issue.” That form sends the listing to the website team for review. For tickets, registration, or cancellations, contact the organizer through the source link.
Clam stickers in Messages
The app includes nine Clam moods: relaxed, cheering, sad, thinking, slapping, winning, defeated, passing, and fierce.
Open a conversation in Messages, tap +, and find “Clam Stickers” in the apps list. Swipe up to see more apps. Tap a sticker to prepare it, then use the Messages send button, or drag it onto a conversation bubble.
If the pack is missing, check that Events in Providence is installed and its iMessage app is enabled in Messages settings. Menu names can vary with your iOS or iPadOS version.
Favorites and iCloud
Tap the heart to save or remove an event, article, or yard sale. Favorites save on the device first. To sync them, use the same Apple Account with iCloud available on your devices. Sync status appears in Saved and Settings.
If iCloud is unavailable, you can keep saving on this device. Open the app again with a connection to retry syncing. Removing the app does not by itself remove its saved iCloud data.
Maps and directions
You can browse the map without sharing your device’s location. For nearby discovery or guidance from your current position, allow location access when the app asks. You can also choose a map point or enter an address to preview a route.
Choose walking, driving, or cycling, then tap “Start” to begin guidance. End the trip when you are finished. Transit opens Apple Maps. Maps, new routes, and rerouting may need a connection.
Weather, reminders, and Calendar
Apple Weather forecasts appear when information is available for the selected place and date. A rain forecast does not mean an event is cancelled.
Choose a reminder from an event’s details. If no event time is provided, choose a reminder time yourself. Reminders belong to this device and update when the app receives event changes. “Add to Calendar” opens Apple’s editor; the saved copy does not automatically follow later changes.
Language and accessibility
Switch between English and Español in the toolbar or Settings. Search works across both languages. When a translation is missing, the app displays the available English content. The app’s language does not indicate the language spoken at an event.
The app supports VoiceOver, larger text, dark appearance, and Reduce Motion through your device’s accessibility settings.
Submit an event or yard sale
The website’s forms send your listing to the team for review. Confirm that you have permission to publish the information and images you provide.
