WaterFire Providence is bringing back its popular summer rooftop bar series, Valley Vibes: Thursdays on Tap, at the WaterFire Arts Center starting July 10, 2025, and running weekly through August 28, excluding July 24. The event, held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., offers visitors a chance to enjoy live music by local bands, DJs, and singers, specialty cocktails, and community experiences on the rooftop deck. Each week features a different host, including local organizations and artists, creating unique themes such as a thrifting pop-up, young professionals networking, and artist panels. The bar will rotate between TROOP and Hi Bar Lo Bar, while Sarcastic Sweets provides locally made treats throughout the season. Highlights include events hosted by POP-UP PVD, Millennial RI, Michael Rose, Contatto Arts, and the WaterFire Accelerate Cohort, which will close the series with a rooftop cookout celebrating their upcoming exhibition. The series is rain-or-shine, with indoor options available, and free parking is provided. The WaterFire Arts Center store and gallery remain open during the events.
WaterFire Providence presenta la serie de eventos en la azotea “Valley Vibes: Thursdays on Tap” en el WaterFire Arts Center, que se llevará a cabo todos los jueves desde el 10 de julio hasta el 28 de agosto de 2025, con excepción del 24 de julio. Organizada en colaboración con Troop PVD, Hi Bar Lo Bar y Sarcastic Sweets, la iniciativa ofrece a los visitantes una experiencia cultural y social que combina exposiciones de arte, música en vivo, DJs y cócteles especiales. Cada semana, un grupo u organización local será anfitrión, creando temáticas variadas como una feria de segunda mano, noches de networking para jóvenes profesionales y encuentros con artistas. Además, Sarcastic Sweets ofrecerá postres artesanales en cada evento. La serie se desarrollará en la terraza del centro, con opción de trasladarse al interior en caso de lluvia, y contará con estacionamiento gratuito para los asistentes. La temporada culminará con una barbacoa en la azotea organizada por la cohorte WaterFire Accelerate 2024-25, que también presentará su exposición colectiva “Family Business”. Esta propuesta busca fomentar la comunidad artística y ofrecer un espacio de encuentro cultural durante el verano en Providence.
