Date: Oct 1, 2026 1 de October, 2026

Cultural Survival, an Indigenous-led nonprofit based in Cambridge, MA, is seeking volunteers for its upcoming bazaars in Rhode Island in 2026. The organization, which has advocated for Indigenous Peoples’ rights and cultures for over 50 years, hosts these bazaars to support Indigenous entrepreneurs worldwide. Originating in 1975, the bazaars are cultural festivals held in the Boston area that allow Indigenous artists to sell crafts, artwork, clothing, and jewelry directly to New England residents. The events also feature cultural performances, storytelling, and craft demonstrations, fostering cultural exchange and relationship building. Each year, over 10,000 attendees engage with artists, learning about their traditions and stories while supporting Indigenous economic development and intellectual property rights, aligned with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. The next bazaar will take place on December 19 and 20 at the Waterfire Arts Center in Providence, RI, with volunteer shifts available for setup and event days. Those interested can sign up through the Cultural Survival website.
