The WaterFire Arts Center is hosting the America, Unfinished?! Summer Program Series every Thursday evening in July and August, celebrating the artists featured in the exhibition. The series offers a mix of performances, workshops, and artist talks designed to engage the community with creative expressions exploring American identity and social issues. Highlights include Megan Bent’s durational performance addressing the medical industrial complex and Sussy Santana’s participatory piece connecting diverse experiences, both on July 30. In August, workshops led by Filipe Miguel, Rose Bergeron, and Jocelyn Vache will teach cyanotype printmaking and homemade paint-making. Artist talks on August 13 will feature Scott Foster and Miciah Stasis-Harding discussing Indigenous cultural revitalization through photography and traditional arts. On August 20, Lee-Sean Huang will perform original songs exploring themes of power, protest, and queer identity. The series is part of the Valley Vibes: Thursdays on Tap events on the center’s rooftop, welcoming all to enjoy an evening of art, community, and creativity. Past events included live mural painting, networking mixers, and guided tours with exhibiting artists.
