PPAC Named a Top Ten Theatre Worldwide by Billboard Magazine

Billboard magazine’s Boxscore Midyear 2026 Report ranked the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) as the ninth top theatre worldwide in the 2,501–5,000 seat category. Managed by Professional Facilities Management, Inc. (PFM), PPAC joins two other PFM venues on the list: the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) ranked second globally and first in the U.S., and the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts ranked fifteenth. Additionally, the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Florida ranked fourth in the category for venues with 2,500 seats or fewer. These rankings reflect total gross revenue, attendance, and number of shows from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
PPAC, with a 3,100-seat capacity, welcomed 199,000 guests during this period, hosting Broadway tours, comedy acts, concerts, and holiday performances. Currently, PPAC is presenting a three-week run of Disney’s THE LION KING through June 7, 2026. Both PFM and PPAC leadership praised their teams and audiences for contributing to this recognition and expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming 2026/2027 season, which will feature multiple award-winning shows. El Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC), ubicado en Providence, Rhode Island, fue reconocido como uno de los diez mejores teatros del mundo en la categoría de 2,501 a 5,000 asientos, según el informe Midyear 2026 de Billboard Boxscore publicado el 27 de mayo de 2026. Este ranking se basa en ingresos brutos, asistencia y número de funciones entre el 1 de octubre de 2025 y el 31 de marzo de 2026. PPAC ocupó el noveno lugar mundial, mientras que otros tres recintos gestionados por Professional Facilities Management, Inc. (PFM) también destacaron: el Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) en Carolina del Norte fue segundo a nivel mundial y primero en Estados Unidos en la misma categoría, el Steven Tanger Center en Greensboro quedó en el puesto 15, y el Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall en Florida alcanzó el cuarto lugar en la categoría de menos de 2,500 asientos.
PPAC, con capacidad para 3,100 personas, recibió a 199,000 asistentes en ese periodo, ofreciendo producciones de Broadway, comedias y conciertos.
