J.L. “Lynn” Singleton, President and CEO of Professional Facilities Management, Inc. (PFM), received The Broadway League’s Distinguished Lifetime Service Award at the Broadway League Awards Ceremony on May 20 in New York City. Singleton, who previously earned the Samuel J. L’Hommedieu Award in 2004, transitioned from leading the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) to focus fully on PFM, which manages nine venues nationwide, including The VETS in Rhode Island and The Durham Performing Arts Center in North Carolina.
Singleton’s leadership transformed PPAC from near-bankruptcy in 1983 into a premier not-for-profit theatre, tripling annual events and attracting over 350,000 attendees yearly. He oversaw a major stagehouse expansion in the 1990s, enabling PPAC to host large-scale Broadway shows like THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and WICKED. He also successfully advocated for Rhode Island’s film tax credit expansion, helping launch 27 national tours beginning in 2008. Under his guidance, PPAC underwent over $50 million in restoration and modernization, earning national recognition as a top theatre. Singleton’s visionary work has significantly impacted theatre management and touring Broadway productions across the country.

(PFM), fue galardonado con el Distinguished Lifetime Service Award por The Broadway League durante la ceremonia celebrada el 20 de mayo en Nueva York. Singleton, reconocido previamente en 2004 con el Samuel J. L’Hommedieu Award por su gestión en la industria teatral, ha tenido una destacada trayectoria en la administración de espacios escénicos. Desde enero de 2026, se dedica exclusivamente a liderar PFM, una subsidiaria de Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC), que gestiona nueve recintos en Estados Unidos, entre ellos The VETS en Rhode Island y The Durham Performing Arts Center en Carolina del Norte.
Durante su gestión como presidente y CEO de PPAC desde 1983, Singleton transformó un teatro al borde de la quiebra en uno de los más prestigiosos del país, aumentando significativamente la cantidad de eventos y la asistencia anual.
