Federal Hill’s popular outdoor dining event, “Al Fresco on the Hill,” is set to return on June 13, 2026, running through September 5. Organized by the Federal Hill Commerce Association, the event expands restaurant seating onto Atwells Avenue on Saturdays from 5 p.m. to midnight, allowing diners to enjoy meals in street-side parklets. The section of Atwells Avenue between Bradford Street and Dean Street remains open to vehicles, while the stretch from Dean Street to Acorn Street will be closed to traffic from 3:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. to accommodate the expanded dining and entertainment activities. The event features numerous restaurants, retailers, live entertainment, and artistic performances, creating a vibrant community atmosphere. Reservations are recommended due to the event’s popularity, and many restaurants offer valet parking. Additional parking options include on-street spaces and paid valet lots at several nearby locations. Participating establishments include Andino’s Italian Restaurant, Cafe Italia, Cassarino’s Restaurant, Harry’s Bar & Burger, Il Massimo, Palermo’s Pizza, and many others, providing a diverse range of dining options for visitors.

Organizado por la Federal Hill Commerce Association, esta iniciativa permite a los restaurantes ampliar su espacio de comedor al aire libre los sábados, entre las 5 de la tarde y la medianoche. Durante estas horas, Atwells Avenue estará cerrada al tráfico vehicular desde Dean Street hasta Acorn Street, mientras que el tramo entre Bradford Street y Dean Street permanecerá abierto para vehículos, con restaurantes instalando parklets frente a sus locales. El evento incluye además tiendas minoristas, entretenimiento en vivo y presentaciones artísticas, ofreciendo una experiencia cultural y gastronómica en el barrio. Se recomienda hacer reservas debido a la popularidad de la actividad, y varios restaurantes ofrecen servicio de valet parking.
