Tickets for the musical “The Bodyguard” will go on sale starting Friday, July 17, 2026, at 10 a.m. The show will run at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) from October 23 to 25, 2026. Tickets can be purchased online, in person at the PPAC Box Office, or by phone. Group sales for parties of 10 or more are available through a dedicated contact. The production is part of PPAC’s 2026/2027 Encore Series, sponsored by Navigant Credit Union, with Cox Media as the media sponsor.
Directed by Samantha Saltzman, “The Bodyguard” is based on the 1992 film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. The musical blends romance, suspense, and hit songs like “I Will Always Love You” and “I Wanna Dance with Somebody.” It tells the story of former Secret Service agent Frank Farmer, hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from a stalker, with unexpected romantic developments.
Originally premiering in London and later touring the U.S. and internationally, the show has received critical acclaim. Performance times in Providence include evening and matinee shows on October 23-25. Casting details will be announced later.
