Providence Department of Licensing and Board of Licenses to Relocate on Monday, March 23

The Providence Department of Licensing and the Board of Licenses will relocate to the Joseph A Doorley Jr. Municipal Building on Monday, March 23, Mayor Brett P. Smiley announced. The Office of Economic Development will also move into this shared space. To prepare for the move, the Department of Licensing will close for in-person services on Friday, March 20. Starting Monday at 8:30 a.m., the department will reopen for in-person services on the first floor of the new location at 444 Westminster Street. Online services, including license applications, will remain available throughout the transition. The Vital Records Department will continue offering in-person services at its current site in Providence City Hall, room 104. El alcalde de Providence, Brett P. Smiley, anunció que el Departamento de Licencias y la Junta de Licencias se trasladarán a una nueva sede en el Edificio Municipal Joseph A. Doorley Jr. el lunes 23 de marzo. En esta misma fecha, la Oficina de Desarrollo Económico también se mudará a esta ubicación compartida. Durante este proceso, los servicios en línea continuarán operando con normalidad, permitiendo a residentes y empresas acceder y presentar solicitudes de licencias por internet. Por su parte, el Departamento de Registros Vitales mantendrá sus servicios presenciales en su ubicación actual en el Ayuntamiento de Providence, sala 104. Durante el cierre del viernes, la ciudadanía podrá comunicarse con el servicio 311 para asistencia inmediata.
