Providence Department of Licensing and Board of Licenses to Relocate on Monday, March 23

The Providence Department of Licensing and the Board of Licenses will relocate to the Joseph A Doorley Jr. Municipal Building on Monday, March 23, as announced by Mayor Brett P. Smiley. The Office of Economic Development will also move into this shared space. To prepare for the move, the Department of Licensing will close for in-person services on Friday, March 20. Starting Monday at 8:30 AM, in-person services will resume at the new location on the first floor of 444 Westminster Street. Online services will remain available throughout the transition, allowing residents and businesses to submit license applications without interruption. The Vital Records Department will continue offering in-person services at its current location in Providence City Hall, room 104.
