The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC), in partnership with WPRI CBS 12 and Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses, is supporting the Toys for Tots holiday drive to benefit children in Rhode Island. Beginning Saturday, November 29, PPAC will serve as a collection site with a box located in the Theatre’s Arcade near the Box Office. Patrons attending various performances, including “The Music of Pink Floyd” with the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, “Water for Elephants,” Earth, Wind & Fire, and the Boston Pops Holiday Concerts, are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys. The collection will continue through multiple events into December, culminating with Cirque Dreams Holidaze from December 19 to 21. In 2024, the Rhode Island Toys for Tots chapter distributed 195,115 toys to over 29,000 children. Donations such as board games, stuffed animals, craft kits, and books will help bring holiday joy to children up to age 18 in need. PPAC expresses gratitude to patrons for their generosity in supporting this community effort.
