The Wanskuck neighborhood has introduced the new People’s Garden at the Wanskuck Library on Veazie Street, offering residents a green space to relax and enjoy nature. Community members are encouraged to visit and experience the garden’s blooms. Additionally, the NENA group holds monthly meetings every third Saturday at 10 a.m. at the DaVinci Center on Charles Street, inviting neighbors to join for coffee and neighborhood discussions.

The Mile of History Association will host its Annual Meeting on November 2 at 5 p.m. in the Providence Art Club’s Maxwell Mays Gallery, welcoming residents to connect over refreshments. The association is also preparing for its Holiday Stroll on December 6, featuring decorated lampposts and festive door displays throughout the season.

The Summit Neighborhood Association (SNA) is seeking new board members and volunteers interested in community projects like food pantry support, tree planting, and park improvements. SNA holds monthly meetings on the third Monday at 7 p.m., both in-person and via Zoom. The group actively supports the Your Neighborhood Food Pantry by coordinating volunteers and fundraising for Thanksgiving meals, requesting donations of food or funds.
