Eugene Joseph Jutras, 86, of Inverness, Florida, and longtime North Providence, Rhode Island resident, passed away on September 13, 2026. Born in Providence to Henry and Lillian Jutras, Eugene was preceded in death by his sister Germaine Craddy and survived by siblings Louis, Rosemary, and Janet. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dolores, their five children, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and in-laws. A 1958 graduate of North Providence High School, Eugene served in the U.S. Army in Bamberg and West Germany before earning an associate’s degree from Johnson & Wales University. He volunteered as a fireman in his youth, enjoyed bowling, and was an avid golfer for over 40 years. Eugene worked at Ciba Geigy, Hoechst Celanese, and Cadillac Mills and was known as a reliable handyman. Remembered for his infectious laugh and warm presence, he was often the last to leave social gatherings. The family requests donations to Hospice of Marion County in lieu of flowers and expresses gratitude for their compassionate care. Eugene will be deeply missed.

Nacido en Providence, fue hijo de Henry y Lillian Jutras. Estuvo casado durante 62 años con Dolores Girard, con quien tuvo cinco hijos y numerosos nietos y bisnietos.
Jutras se graduó en 1958 en North Providence High School y sirvió en el Ejército de Estados Unidos en Bamberg y Alemania Occidental. Posteriormente, obtuvo un título asociado en Johnson & Wales University. Además, fue voluntario bombero, aficionado al boliche y golfista durante más de cuatro décadas.
Su familia destaca su risa contagiosa, su presencia cálida y su costumbre de ser el último en abandonar las reuniones. En lugar de flores, solicitan donaciones a Hospice of Marion County, institución que brindó cuidados compasivos en sus últimos momentos.
