Carol Jaffe Levinger, aged 81, passed away on September 17, 2026, at Miriam Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of Frederick Levinger, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Carol was the daughter of Leonard S. and Marjorie Jaffe. She lived primarily in Providence, Rhode Island, while spending summers on Nantucket and winters in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Carol was an active member of Temple Beth El in Providence and enjoyed golfing, holding memberships at Ledgemont Country Club and Nantucket Golf Club. She treasured the 52 summers she spent on Nantucket and the friendships she formed there. Carol is survived by her husband Frederick, daughter Stephanie Harvey of Boston, two sisters Ellen Davis and Dr. Susan Jaffe, two grandchildren, and a nephew. Memorial contributions in her honor can be made to Boston Children’s Hospital Trust.
