Annual walk/run held to support HIV awareness

AIDS Project Rhode Island held its annual Run/Walk for Life event at Pierce Field in East Providence to support HIV awareness and prevention efforts. The event featured a 5K run and a one-mile walk, drawing participants committed to promoting HIV testing, prevention, and care throughout the state. Alongside the physical activities, attendees enjoyed food and music, creating a community-focused atmosphere. The event also included the presentation of the Hope Harris Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to HIV-related causes. This annual gathering highlights ongoing efforts to combat HIV and supports those affected by the virus in Rhode Island.
En East Providence, Rhode Island, se llevó a cabo la Caminata/Carrera anual por la Vida organizada por AIDS Project Rhode Island en Pierce Field. Este evento tiene como objetivo apoyar la prevención, el diagnóstico y el cuidado del VIH en todo el estado. Los participantes pudieron elegir entre una carrera de 5 kilómetros o una caminata de una milla, actividades que estuvieron acompañadas de música y comida para crear un ambiente comunitario. Además, durante la jornada se entregó el Premio Hope Harris, que reconoce la labor destacada en la lucha contra el VIH.
