A Season Brightened: Thank You for an Incredible 2025 Festival of Trees
Una Temporada Iluminada: Gracias Por Un Increíble Festival De Árboles 2025
On December 5, 2025, the WaterFire Providence Festival of Trees Installation at the Holiday Basin Lighting brought the community together for an evening filled with holiday spirit and artistic celebration. The event showcased 20 beautifully decorated trees donated by Stanley Tree, with Parsons Capital Management as the Title Sponsor. Individual tree sponsors included KPMG, Starkweather & Shepley Insurance, and others, who ensured each tree was gifted to a family in need along with a PriceRite gift card to support holiday meals. Ornaments were handcrafted by students from three local schools, adding a personal touch to the display.
Attendees enjoyed a variety of festive activities, including an Arts Market, caroling by Providence College’s a cappella groups, and a special performance by Ballet RI’s Nutcracker characters. Cirque De Light provided dazzling entertainment on the river, and Santa Claus made a memorable appearance by boat to light the Snow Ball in the Basin. The event also featured a Makers Market highlighting Rhode Island’s local artists and small businesses. WaterFire Providence expressed gratitude to all sponsors, volunteers, performers, and guests for making the night a joyful success and looks forward to continuing the tradition in 2026.
El 5 de diciembre de 2025, la comunidad de Providence se reunió para celebrar la temporada navideña en la instalación Festival of Trees de WaterFire Providence, ubicada en el Holiday Basin Lighting. El evento contó con 20 árboles decorados donados por Stanley Tree, gracias al patrocinio principal de Parsons Capital Management. Además, diversos patrocinadores individuales como KPMG, Cross Insurance y PriceRite contribuyeron para que cada árbol fuera entregado a familias necesitadas, acompañados de tarjetas de regalo para que pudieran disfrutar de una comida festiva. Las decoraciones fueron elaboradas por estudiantes de tres escuelas locales, quienes aportaron un toque especial y artesanal. La velada incluyó un mercado de arte, villancicos interpretados por grupos a cappella del Providence College, y una presentación especial de El Cascanueces a cargo de Ballet RI. En el río, el espectáculo Cirque De Light y la aparición de Santa Claus en un bote animaron la celebración. También se destacó un Makers Market que exhibió el trabajo de artistas y pequeños negocios de Rhode Island.
