Join WRWC, local artists, and Rangers on a biking tour of the Woonasquatucket’s flowering artwork and blooming spring buds!

Join us along the Woonasquatucket River Greenway for a morning of art, community, and springtime exploration. We’ll gather behind Gotham Greens to celebrate recent site improvements, including a striking metal flower sculpture by Warren Collins, the RainKeep sculpture by Allison Newsome, and a vibrant mural by Tate Won Chen created with volunteers.
Kick things off with a brief welcome and artist talk, then stay to enjoy community tabling, music, games, and time to explore the site for the first part of the event.
Optional Guided Bike Ride (approx. 10:45 AM start):
Hop on your bike for a relaxed, guided ride along the Greenway to take in the THOUSANDS of bulbs planted this fall and the ongoing work of the River Rangers team. Over 28,000 bulbs were planted along the Greenway in the past year! We’ll travel about 2 miles round trip at a conversational pace on a paved, off-road path, with a turnaround at the Manton Outdoor Classroom (15 Goldsmith Street, Johnston, RI). The ride includes multiple stops and lasts about an hour.
Whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, there’s always something new to discover—come help us welcome spring in community!
Bike Info:
Participants must bring a bike in good working condition and a helmet (required). A limited number of WRWC bike and helmet rentals are available—reserve yours through the Eventbrite add-on by Thursday, April 9. To preview the ride, visit this link.
