A Season Brightened: Thank You for an Incredible 2025 Festival of Trees
Una Temporada Iluminada: Gracias Por Un Increíble Festival De Árboles 2025
On December 5, 2025, the WaterFire Providence Festival of Trees Installation at the Holiday Basin Lighting brought the community together for a festive celebration. The event featured 20 beautifully decorated trees donated by Stanley Tree, supported by Title Sponsor Parsons Capital Management and individual sponsors including KPMG, Starkweather & Shepley Insurance, and PriceRite. Each tree was gifted to a family in need, accompanied by a PriceRite gift card to help provide a holiday meal. Local schoolchildren contributed handmade ornaments, adding a personal touch to the display. Attendees enjoyed a variety of holiday activities, including an Arts Market, caroling by Providence College a cappella groups, a performance by Ballet RI’s Nutcracker characters, and a dazzling Cirque De Light show on the river. Santa Claus appeared on a boat to light the Snow Ball in the Basin, enhancing the festive atmosphere. The event also featured a Makers Market showcasing Rhode Island artists and small businesses. WaterFire Providence expressed gratitude to all sponsors, volunteers, performers, and guests for making the night a joyful celebration of art, light, and community spirit.
El 5 de diciembre de 2025, la comunidad de Providence se reunió para celebrar la temporada navideña en la instalación Festival of Trees de WaterFire Providence, ubicada en el Holiday Basin Lighting. El evento contó con 20 árboles decorados, donados por Stanley Tree y patrocinados principalmente por Parsons Capital Management. Además, varios patrocinadores individuales contribuyeron para que cada árbol fuera entregado a una familia necesitada, junto con una tarjeta de regalo de PriceRite para que pudieran disfrutar de una comida navideña.
Las decoraciones fueron elaboradas a mano por estudiantes de tres escuelas locales, aportando un toque especial y comunitario. Durante la velada, los asistentes disfrutaron de un mercado de artesanías, villancicos interpretados por grupos a capela de Providence College y una presentación especial de Ballet RI con personajes de El Cascanueces. En el río, el espectáculo Cirque De Light y la aparición de Santa Claus en bote iluminaron la noche.
El evento también incluyó un Makers Market coorganizado por Track15 y RI Night Market, destacando el talento local. WaterFire Providence agradeció a todos los patrocinadores, artistas, voluntarios y asistentes por hacer posible una celebración llena de arte, luz y alegría, esperando repetirla en 2026.
