The Wanskuck neighborhood has introduced the new People’s Garden at the Wanskuck Library on Veazie Street, offering a green space for relaxation and community enjoyment. Residents are encouraged to visit and experience the garden’s natural beauty. Additionally, the North East Neighborhood Association (NENA) holds monthly meetings every third Saturday at 10 a.m. at the DaVinci Center on Charles Street, inviting locals to join for coffee and neighborhood improvement discussions.

The Mile of History Association will host its Annual Meeting on November 2 at 5 p.m. in the Maxwell Mays Gallery of the Providence Art Club, featuring refreshments and an opportunity to connect with neighbors. The association also plans its Holiday Stroll on December 6, with volunteers decorating lampposts and homes to celebrate the season.

The Summit Neighborhood Association (SNA) is seeking new board members and volunteers interested in community projects such as food pantry support, tree planting, and park development. SNA meets monthly at India Restaurant and online, welcoming all residents. They also support the Neighborhood Food Pantry by coordinating volunteers and fundraising for Thanksgiving meals, requesting donations of food or funds.
