Carol Jaffe Levinger, 81, of Providence and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away on September 17, 2026, at Miriam Hospital after a brief illness. She was married to Frederick Levinger for 58 years. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Carol was the daughter of Leonard S. and Marjorie Jaffe. She spent much of her life in Providence, with summers on Nantucket and winters in Florida. A longtime member of Temple Beth El in Providence, she enjoyed golfing and was affiliated with Ledgemont Country Club and Nantucket Golf Club. Carol treasured the 52 summers she spent on Nantucket and the friendships she formed there. She is survived by her husband Frederick, daughter Stephanie Harvey of Boston, two sisters Ellen Davis and Dr. Susan Jaffe, two grandchildren, and a nephew. Memorial contributions can be made in her honor to Boston Children’s Hospital Trust.
