Alan M. Samdperil, 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Coral Gables, Florida, on September 16, 2026. He was married to Sandra (Chaiken) Samdperil for 67 years, having shared a lifelong partnership since age 14. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Alan was the son of Nathan and Dorothy Samdperil. He attended Classical High School and graduated with honors from Harvard College. Alan was a dedicated businessman involved in the family metal supply and importing business spanning three generations. He spent most of his life in Providence, later dividing time between Palm Desert, California, and the Berkshires with his wife. An avid skier, golfer, pilot, and world traveler, Alan was also a committed supporter of Israel and a longtime member of Temple Beth-El in Providence. He is survived by his wife Sandy, three daughters, a sister, six grandchildren, and five great-grandsons. Alan was predeceased by his grandson Max Mann. Funeral services were held on September 23, 2026, in Providence, with donations in his memory encouraged for the Friends of the IDF Lone Soldier Program.
