Eugene Joseph Jutras, 86, of Inverness, Florida, and longtime resident of North Providence, Rhode Island, passed away on September 13, 2026. Born in Providence, he was the son of Henry and Lillian Jutras. Eugene is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dolores, their five children, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Germaine and is survived by siblings Louis, Rosemary, and Janet.
A 1958 graduate of North Providence High School, Eugene served in the U.S. Army in Bamberg and West Germany before earning an associate’s degree from Johnson & Wales University. He worked for companies including Ciba Geigy, Hoechst Celanese, and Cadillac Mills, and was known as a reliable handyman. In his youth, he volunteered as a fireman and enjoyed bowling and golf for over 40 years.
Eugene was remembered for his infectious laugh, warm presence, and being the last to leave any gathering. The family requests donations to Hospice of Marion County in lieu of flowers, expressing gratitude for their compassionate care.

Su familia destacó su risa contagiosa, su calidez y su disposición a quedarse hasta el final de cualquier reunión. En lugar de flores, solicitan donaciones a Hospice of Marion County, institución que brindó atención compasiva en sus últimos días. Eugene será recordado con cariño y extrañado profundamente.
