In the North End, the Neighborhood Association’s efforts have revitalized Hopkins Square Park with community events such as Opera in the Park and the St. Ann’s Festival, fostering local engagement and entertainment. The Summit Neighborhood Association is hosting its annual community yard sale on September 26-27, allowing participants to sell on either or both days, with registration available online. Additionally, Summit will sponsor the free Swell Folk Festival on September 20 at Lippitt Park, showcasing folk music, vendors, food trucks, and family activities. SNA is also holding a T-shirt design contest with submissions due by October 16. Lastly, the Mile of History Association will hold its annual meeting on November 1 at the Rhode Island Historical Society, featuring historian Dr. Morgan Grefe as the guest speaker.
