Diana Acevedo, a devoted mother and cherished member of her family and community, passed away on August 3, 2026, in Providence, Rhode Island, at the age of 60. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Diana was the daughter of Concepcion Acevedo and Maria Salinas. She moved to New York City, where she had her eldest son, Jason Diaz, before relocating to Providence, where she raised her two younger sons, Christian Josue Martinez and Alexander Martinez.

Known for her deep love and selflessness, Diana prioritized the well-being and happiness of her children above all else. She extended her care and warmth to her extended family, friends, and church community, often hosting gatherings and providing support to those in need. Diana also cared for her elderly mother as a certified home caretaker and maintained lifelong friendships across various stages of her life. An active church member, she graduated from her church’s Bible institute.

Diana’s passing leaves a profound void among her loved ones, who remember her as a beacon of light and love. She is mourned deeply but is believed to have returned to the Kingdom of God.
