Antonio “Tony” Antonelli Jr. of Providence, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, surrounded by family. He was the widower of Marisa “Missy” Falcone Antonelli and the son of the late Antonio Antonelli and Virginia Ordway. Tony is survived by his two daughters, Ashley Andrade and Briana Antonelli, as well as his sister Antonetta Copotosto, step sister Winifred Korkuc, and extended family. He dedicated 32 years to the State of Rhode Island as a cook, working at College Park and Eleanor Slater Hospital before retiring. Known for his strong work ethic, humor, and laid-back attitude, Tony was a tough, street-smart character with a deep love for his family. He enjoyed fast cars, tattoos, rock music, and cooking, and was affectionately called the family’s original “Tony Soprano.” A Funeral Mass will be held on August 17, 2026, at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Johnston, Rhode Island. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or local animal shelters in Tony’s memory.
