Lillian “Lil” G. (Santoro) Favicchio, aged 96, of Cranston, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at home on July 25, 2026, surrounded by family. Born on June 6, 1930, in Providence, she was a 1948 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and began her career in banking before dedicating 32 years as a special needs teacher assistant with the Cranston School Department. Known for her patience and warmth, Lil was deeply committed to children and cherished the friendships she maintained for decades, including a weekly card game group lasting 40 years.
She was married to William Favicchio from 1951 until his passing and is survived by her two sons, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Lil also volunteered extensively with the ALS Association of Rhode Island, receiving a volunteer award in 2019 for her service. Her family remembers her for her joyful spirit, loyal friendships, and devotion to loved ones. Funeral services will be held on July 30 at Nardolillo Funeral Home and Immaculate Conception Church in Cranston. Donations in her memory may be made to ALS United Rhode Island.

Nacida en Providence en 1930, fue hija de Angelina Sardelli y Ernesto P. Santoro. Graduada de Mount Pleasant High School en 1948, inició su carrera en el Industrial National Bank y luego trabajó durante 32 años como asistente de maestra para niños con necesidades especiales en el Departamento Escolar de Cranston, reflejando su dedicación y paciencia.
Casada con William Favicchio desde 1951, con quien tuvo dos hijos, Lil también se destacó por su voluntariado en la Asociación ALS de Rhode Island, recibiendo en 2019 un reconocimiento por su compromiso. Amante de su familia, especialmente de sus cinco nietos y nueve bisnietos, disfrutaba de reuniones sociales, juegos de cartas y el verano en Bonnet Shores.
Fue precedida en la muerte por su esposo y varios hermanos. Sus restos serán velados el 29 de julio y su funeral se realizará el 30 de julio en Cranston. La familia agradece al equipo de cuidados paliativos por su apoyo en los últimos días. En lugar de flores, se solicitan donaciones a ALS United Rhode Island.
