Rita Faye Gaston-Balogun of Providence, Rhode Island, passed away on July 20, 2026. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Kazeem Balogun, their four children, and eight grandchildren, along with her parents, two sisters, and several nieces and nephews. Known for her deep love of family, Rita cherished spending time with her grandchildren and extended family, especially in North Carolina. She was a devoted mother, wife, sister, and friend, remembered for her gentle, selfless nature and warm humility. Visiting hours will be held on July 30 at A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service and Celebration of Life at Central Congregational Church in Providence. Burial will be private. Rita’s legacy is marked by her kindness, devotion to family, and the loving care she showed to those around her.

Rita estuvo casada durante 41 años con Kazeem Balogun y deja cuatro hijos: Shanaye Rezendes, Emmanuel Balogun, Elizabeth Faboyede y Abraham Balogun, además de ocho nietos. También sobreviven sus padres, Edna Mitchell y Nathaniel Gaston, dos hermanas, Wanda y Wendy, y siete sobrinos.
Reconocida por su devoción familiar y espíritu generoso, Rita era una madre, esposa, hermana y amiga dedicada, que disfrutaba profundamente del tiempo con sus nietos y su familia extendida en Carolina del Norte.
