Inside GoProvidence’s Executive Exchange: Real Feedback from Real Planners

Dentro Del Executive Exchange De Goprovidence: Opiniones Reales De Planificadores Reales

GoProvidence recently hosted its first Executive Exchange, bringing together 13 meeting and convention planners from across the U.S. for 36 hours of open dialogue about destination strengths, weaknesses, and planner needs. The event aimed not to promote Providence but to gain honest feedback directly from professionals responsible for sourcing venues, managing budgets, and crafting attendee experiences. These planners will now serve as a customer advisory board, providing ongoing input to guide GoProvidence’s sales, services, and marketing strategies.

Key themes from the discussions included the importance of walkable, easy-to-navigate destinations, authentic local experiences, and the value of responsiveness and partnership alongside facilities. Attendees also increasingly seek meaningful experiences beyond convention centers. These insights reinforced existing market trends and helped clarify where GoProvidence should focus future efforts.

During the visit, planners experienced Providence firsthand through local venues, art, and hospitality, highlighting the city’s connected and distinctive meeting environment. GoProvidence emphasized that listening to planners is essential for adapting to the evolving meetings industry and looks forward to building on this inaugural exchange.
