PVD Cello Fest (Day 2, afternoon)
Festival de Cello PVD (Día 2, tarde)
The day will open with a workshop open to string players of all levels: Fundamentals of Arabic Maqam on String Instruments, led by our 2026 guest artist Naseem Alatrash. Throughout the day, you can come join an old-time music jam led by Sammy Wetstein, and there will be performances by cellists Rob Bethel, Sophie Chang, James Perreta, Kari Juusela, Esther Rogers & Roseminna Watson, and Sami Wetstein. The day culminates in a performance of pop, jazz, and original tunes by Tom Swafford’s string group, String Power!

El día comenzará con un taller abierto a intérpretes de cuerda de todos los niveles: Fundamentos del Maqam Árabe en Instrumentos de Cuerda, dirigido por nuestro artista invitado 2026 Naseem Alatrash. A lo largo del día, puedes unirte a una jam de música tradicional liderada por Sammy Wetstein, y habrá presentaciones de los violonchelistas Rob Bethel, Sophie Chang, James Perreta, Kari Juusela, Esther Rogers & Roseminna Watson, y Sami Wetstein. El día culmina con una presentación de pop, jazz y piezas originales del grupo de cuerdas de Tom Swafford, ¡String Power!
