Movies on the Block is returning this summer with four outdoor movie screenings at Grant’s Block, scheduled once a month from June through September. The free event will take place at dusk on the second Thursday of each month, with films including “The Neverending Story” on June 11, “Raising Arizona” on July 9, “Clueless” on August 13, and “Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” on September 10. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or beach chairs, as bench seating is limited. InDowncity is collaborating with downtown restaurants to provide curated food concessions during the screenings. Sponsored by InDowncity, Cornish Associates, and the downtown business community, Movies on the Block offers a family-friendly way to enjoy classic films outdoors while supporting local dining options. The event is open to the public and designed to create a communal summer experience in the heart of downtown.
La serie de cine al aire libre Movies on the Block regresa este verano con cuatro funciones mensuales en Grant’s Block, desde junio hasta septiembre. Las proyecciones se realizarán al anochecer, el segundo jueves de cada mes, y contarán con la colaboración de InDowncity y restaurantes del centro, que ofrecerán concesiones gastronómicas especialmente seleccionadas durante las películas.
